Storytelling in Pictures

In newspapers, the 'story' is all important and my background as a photojournalist means I have been storytelling in pictures for many years. Now I am privileged to tell the story of my client's most joyful day.

I actively encourage you and your guests to forget I'm even there. I often liken myself to a piece of wallpaper, I'm just there, watching from afar, without getting in the way, documenting the events as they happen.

I shoot mainly with available light which enables me to capture the atmosphere and be more discreet. The Nikon pro cameras I use allow me to work under very low light, which means that flash need only be used sparingly to avoid intrusion. This gives the pictures a real-life feel, while enabling me to capture every moment magnificently.

Many couples who book tell me they hate having their photo taken. This is never a problem. I want everyone to be themselves, enjoy the party with friends and family and I'll never ask people to do things that will make them feel awkward.

Though this has become more widespread within wedding photographers , I was among the first to offer a purely digital service, with the images supplied to the bride and groom in a 'Print Ready' format, along with the copyright to reproduce them as you see fit.

I have subsquently started offering magnificent storybook albums which allow the creative process to be taken a step further.

My aim is to provide the bride and groom with a stunning collection of images which represent their true memories of the day - and all the other bits they were too busy to notice or remember!
